Water supply issues in Civil Lines area. who else is affected?

For the past two weeks, the water supply in Civil Lines, Jhelum has been extremely irregular. We’re getting water for barely 2 hours in the morning and sometimes nothing in the evening. I’ve spoken to a few neighbours and they’re all facing the same problem.

I called the TMA office (0544-920244) but no one picks up after 2 PM. The tanker mafia is charging Rs. 2,000 per tanker now which is absolutely ridiculous.

Questions for the community:

1. Is this issue only in Civil Lines or are other areas affected too?
2. Has anyone successfully gotten through to the TMA or DC office about this?
3. Does anyone know if there’s a pipeline repair happening that’s causing this?

If enough people report this, maybe we can file a collective complaint. Let’s use this forum to coordinate.
