Great news for heritage lovers! The Punjab Tourism Department has announced free guided tours at Rohtas Fort starting April 1, 2026.
Tour Details:
- Dates: Every Saturday & Sunday from April 1 to May 31
- Time: 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM (two batches daily)
- Duration: Approximately 90 minutes
- Meeting Point: Main Sohail Gate entrance
- Cost: Free (no ticket required)
The tours will cover all 12 gates, the Shahi Mosque, Haveli Man Singh, and the underground chambers. Professional guides from the Punjab Archaeology Department will lead each group.
Rohtas Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site built by Sher Shah Suri in the 16th century and is located in Dina Tehsil, approximately 16 km from Jhelum city.
Tip: Bring water and wear comfortable walking shoes. The fort covers a large area with uneven terrain.
